Volkswagen ID.3 USA release date
An all-new Volkswagen electric vehicle is in the works. Volkswagen debuted its new long-range electric car, the ID.3, at the Frankfurt Motor Show last week. The new vehicle caught the attention of Volkswagen fans across the globe because the new model sold out before it even went on sale. In fact, the automaker received over 30,000 pre-orders for a special edition of the new ID.3 before the vehicle even arrived at the Frankfurt Motor Show. That’s great news for European car buyers, where the ID.3 will go on sale in first, but what about eager U.S. buyers? Does the Volkswagen ID.3 have a USA release date?
Unfortunately, U.S. Volkswagen fans will be left waiting. As of now, the automaker has no plans to release the ID.3 in the country.
What is the Volkswagen ID.3?
The Volkswagen ID.3 is a long-range electric car with a large interior and a long list of high-tech features. On the outside, the ID.3 has a similar look to the Volkswagen Golf, but is expected to be more spacious. It will also be available with a new 10-inch touchscreen, a wireless smartphone charging mat, voice-activated controls and much more.
How much will the Volkswagen ID.3 cost?
Currently, the Volkswagen ID.3 is expected to cost about $33,180 and will be available in three variants. Each variant will offer different range, which will vary between 205 and 340 miles. The new Volkswagen ID.3 is expected to go sale in Europe in mid-2020.
The Volkswagen ID.3 is the first vehicle to be build using the auto maker’s new modular all-electric platform. This new platform is expected to power a variety of new cars and SUVs that Volkswagen plans to bring into development. In fact, the ID.3 is also expected to be the first in the automaker’s new ID-branded vehicle line.
Stay tuned for more details on the new ID.3 as more information becomes available. From all of us at Donaldsons Volkswagen, thank you for reading!
