2020 VW Atlas Cross Sport Arrival Date
If you’re like us, you’re foaming at the mouth waiting anxiously for the new 2020 Volkswagen Atlas Cross Sport. Okay, maybe you’re not quite as desperate for this new midsize VW SUV as we are, but you’re at least wondering: when will the 2020 Volkswagen Atlas Cross Sport arrive?
The 2020 Volkswagen Atlas Cross Sport is expected to arrive in the third quarter of 2019. So, since we’re writing this in August, the 2020 Atlas Cross Sport should be arriving by the end of September! If it doesn’t, we all need to write to Volkswagen spokesman Mark Gillies and berate him for lying when he said that the North American Atlas Cross Sport would debut in the third quarter of 2019. Okay, he did say it would “probably” debut at that time, but still.
What is the 2020 Volkswagen Atlas Cross Sport?
You may be excited for a new Volkswagen vehicle without really knowing exactly what it is. That’s totally understandable- whenever Volkswagen makes something, you know it’s going to be awesome.
The 2020 VW Atlas Cross Sport is expected to be a two-row variation of the currently three-row Atlas. The fact that the Atlas has been so widely acclaimed since its debut for the 2018 model year bodes well for the Atlas Cross Sport.
What will the 2020 Atlas Cross Sport look like?
The SUV will be a coupelike five-seater with a sporty sloping rear roofline. It will likely be similar to another vehicle by VW called the Teramont X, which was unveiled in Shanghai and is produced for the Chinese market. The American iteration is expected to have a unique lower bumper design, reworked wheels, and slightly altered headlamps.
What are the performance specs of the 2020 Atlas Cross Sport?
The powertrain of the 2020 Volkswagen Atlas Cross Sport will be based around the same 276-horsepower V6 engine that currently resides inside the full-size VW Atlas. There’s also going to be an exciting hybrid system, which employees two electric motors to produce a grand total of 355 horsepower with its plug-in hybrid powertrain.
